Carers Relaxation with Karen

Relaxation is a learned skill.  This six week course will introduce carers to the art of relaxation and letting go of tension.  The sessions will cover a range of relaxation techniques, giving you time to establish a confident practice in a supported environment.  Relaxation techniques include deep breathing, progressive muscular relaxation, guided visualisation and meditation.

This meeting will explore some thought provoking topics using influencial videos from expert speakers via TED Talks.  TED talks explore innovative ideas and fresh approaches to challenging problems. The talks are insightful, inspirational and are delivered by renowned thought leaders, authors and spiritual luminaries.  Speakers are well known on the world stage of positive psychology, spirituality and personal development.  These meetings wiil encourage  mind-nourishing discussion & reflection. The talks promote a sense of connection with self and others.  The meeting will begin and conclude with a short meditation.
