Health & Social Care Partnership, Assessment & Eligibility, Outcomes, Self-directed support………
For some carers the meetings involved in arranging care for someone and the language used in these meetings can be confusing and may be off-putting.
The staff at the Centre can help explain what goes on at meetings and some of the jargon you will hear.
If you want, staff can also attend meetings with social workers and health professionals with you and help to make sure you get your view across to the other people in the room.
We can also help you to identify what support you think you need, why you need it and what improvements this support would provide for you, the person you care for and your family.
It is not uncommon for carers to have a different view of things from the person they care for and while we cannot offer ourselves formal advocacy support we will do everything we can to support you to have your voice heard and if required can signpost you to advocacy services.
