We aim to provide you with the best possible support to help you manage your caring role.
In order to do this it is helpful to know about your caring situation and how this affects you as a carer.
We can do this by meeting with you and chatting through your caring role, what’s working well and what you might be finding challenging or difficult. All the information you share with us will be treated in the strictest confidence and as long as you or the person you care for is not in any danger we will only be share the information you tell us with your permission.
These meetings give you the chance to talk to a member of staff about anything in relation to your caring role and we will share information about what support and services that we at the Carers’ Centre and other organisations can provide.
The meetings with staff can happen at a time and location convenient for you, this maybe your home but we can also host meetings in our offices in Giffnock and Barrhead and in suitable locations across East Renfrewshire such as café’s etc.
You may decide after the initial visit that you do not want or need any of our services and that is absolutely ok, we will take no further action or contact you again however should you wish to access any other supports the staff members will make sure that this is done.
For more information please do not hesitate to get in touch with anyone at the Carers Centre.
